Before the first cast

Give yourself a little time before you leave. Check the local rules and permissions for your chosen water. Pack what you will need, including a bag for used line and litter. Let someone know your plans when heading somewhere remote.

At the bank, take a moment to look around before you cast. Make space for other people and wildlife. A good morning does not need to begin in a hurry.
