Bring a small container for discarded line. Loose line can entangle wildlife, so collect your own offcuts and any you can safely reach. Keep hooks secured and take litter home.

Follow local access, fish handling and conservation rules. Give other anglers room and leave the bank ready for the next quiet afternoon.
